Operating tips

Before starting petrol models for the first time, it is recommended to run them in without load. This is done in the following sequence:

  • the braid warms up for 5 minutes at idle;
  • the air damper is opened by moving the lever to the "On" position;
  • gas is squeezed out to ½ of full for 30 seconds;
  • after that, the gas is released, the trimmer idles for another 40 seconds and turns off.

It is advisable to repeat this run-in cycle within half an hour. After that, you can let the device idle for another 3 and a half hours.

During operation, it is important to carefully follow all the requirements of the instructions for use. It is recommended that all bolts be retightened before each use of the trimmer.

The main causes of breakdowns and how to eliminate them

If the engine of the petrol mower does not start, then the following reasons are possible:

  • non-compliance with the startup sequence specified in the instructions;
  • lack of fuel;
  • incorrect proportions of the fuel mixture - in this case, the mixture must be drained and the gasoline and oil must be mixed again according to the instructions (the usual proportion is 25: 1);
  • problems with the spark plug - then it must be cleaned of carbon deposits or replaced with a new one.

If the engine starts, but the working unit does not rotate, then you need to check the carburetor setting, gearbox and cutting head bushing. Also in such cases it is worth cleaning the air and fuel filters and changing the line.

Reviews

Most owners of both gasoline and electric Champion trimmers in their reviews note the high quality of their assembly, long service life and ease of use. Another important advantage of this technique over models of similar quality, many reviewers call its lower price.

As the main drawback, many reviewers note that the control button located on the line spool is at first too tight, and until it is used up, the line often has to be pulled out of the reel by hand. In very rare cases, the authors of reviews on gasoline trimmers encountered a gas tank or gas line leak.
