The weight of the tongue-and-groove plates plays a very important role in their practical application. It is useful for all developers to know in advance how much 80 mm tongue-and-groove slabs, solid and hollow blocks weigh. Calculating the weight of 1 piece. GWP and their other quantity, it will be possible to approach the construction more deliberately and achieve the best effect.

Why do you need to know the weight?

The tongue-and-groove slabs are widely used in modern construction, especially in the low-rise segment. They are also in demand when creating offices. GWP for partitions turns out to be lighter per 1 piece than similar brick walls, but heavier than plasterboard structures. Therefore, it is very important to determine what will be the load on the supporting structures of the building and on its foundation. In addition to calculating the load on the floors and the base, the mass of building structures should be taken into account when calculating:

  • transport and logistics;
  • labor costs for installation;
  • storage features;
  • features of transportation on the construction site;
  • optimal assembly tools and technology.

Standard parameters

Before evaluating the mass of slabs in which there is a tongue-and-groove, it is necessary to take into account other significant points. The most important of these is the significant difference between hollow and full-bodied GWPs . Strictly speaking, in technical and engineering terms, they are approximately the same, and the difference manifests itself precisely in the mass of the finished product. The option with cavities inside is considered more stable and more suitable for concealed installation of utilities.

Knauf firm supplies excellent plaster blocks of 100 mm - more precisely, their total size is 667x500x100 mm. There are 24 pieces of such plates per 1 pallet of transport layout. The main applications are floors, walls and partitions, including in bathrooms. The gross weight of such products reaches 41 kg. The moisture-resistant type of 80 mm blocks is also widely used - more precisely, again, 667x500x80 mm.

This moisture-resistant parallelepiped can be used even in rooms with a stable air humidity of 60-70% . The density reaches 1250 kg per 1 m3, and the total value is 0.33 m2. For your information: in some cases, other technical conditions apply, prescribing to limit the density to 1100 kg per 1 m3. Standardized full-size slabs will weigh 24 kilograms, and after hydrophobic treatment, the mass grows on average to 29 kilograms.

In the presence of voids inside, the weight is reduced to 22 kg.

But we must not forget about the existence of silicate tongue-and-groove plates. Here are their main weight and size parameters (weight in kilograms):

  • YAZSK 0, 498x0, 248x0, 07 m - 15, 3;
  • YAZSK 0, 498x0, 248x0, 07 m with cavities - 14, 5;
  • YAZSK 0, 498x0, 248x0, 115 m - 19, 5;
  • YAZSK 0, 498x0, 248x0, 115 m with cavities - 18, 2;
  • KZSM 0, 5x0, 25x0, 088 m - 20.

Moreover, all of the listed modifications of silicate blocks have an interesting property - there are exactly 8 pieces per 1 m2. The largest structures (with a thickness of 0, 115 m) are advised to be used as partitions between apartments. The density of silicate GWP reaches 1870 kg per 1 m3. Standard silicate-based tongue-and-groove plates are formed from M150 strength grade material. In terms of 1 pallet, exactly ½ centner of glue is consumed, which must also be taken into account when calculating the mass of finished buildings. One way or another, tongue-and-groove products weigh very little compared to other solutions. Therefore, they are widely used even alone.

There is no need to attract construction assistants. But, of course, the weight also depends on the know-how used. Therefore, it is important to consider the specifics of products of various brands.

How much do slabs from different manufacturers weigh?

The weight of the structure may vary slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer. So, when choosing Knauf products, the situation is as follows:

  • a typical plate with a thickness of 8 cm pulls 28 kg, 1 m of the partition will weigh 84 kg;
  • a typical slab with a thickness of 10 cm will already weigh 37 kg, and 111 kg per 1 m of partitions;
  • full-size construction with resistance to moisture with a thickness of 8 cm - 29 kg and 87 kg per 1 m2;
  • full-size construction with resistance to moisture with a thickness of 10 cm - 38 kg and 114 kg per 1 m2 (in a single-layer version).

Volma supplies 80 mm hollow blocks with a maximum weight of 22 kilograms. This company does not offer the same designs in the 100 mm format, and if a similar product is found, then this is an obvious fake. In a full-bodied version, an 80 mm slab will "pull" 30 kg, a 100 mm - 36 kg. The moisture resistance of Volma products does not affect its weight. Rusean also supplies tongue-and-groove plates. Its usual 80mm hollow blocks weigh 20kg. With a moisture-resistant design, their weight grows to 22 kg. A full-bodied 80-mm slab from "Rusean" will weigh 28 kg, after moisture-proof treatment, the mass grows to 30 kg. The 100mm Roussean slabs show 37 kg on the scales.

The company "Gipsopolimer" supplies made of natural stone:

  • full-weight 100 mm plates for 34 kg;
  • full-weight 80 mm slabs for 27 kg;
  • empty inside 80 mm products for 22 kg;
  • moisture-resistant analogs of these three categories - 37, 27 and 22 kg, respectively.
