Any pool, whether frame or inflatable, has to be put away for storage in the fall. In order for it not to deteriorate, it is necessary to fold it correctly. If there should be no problems with rectangular and square pools, then everything is much more complicated with round ones.

Where to begin?

The pool should be cleaned in late August or early September (depending on the weather). This procedure consists of several stages.

Draining

You can drain the water in manual or automatic mode - it all depends on the volume of the pool itself. From small-volume children's varieties, water can be removed using a regular bucket or any other similar container.

To get rid of the water in a large pool, it is best to use a pump. Of course, theoretically, you can pump it out manually, but it's hard and time-consuming.

If there were no chemicals in the water, then it can be used to water bushes and trees. If chemistry has been added, you will have to pour the water down the drain.

Wall cleaning and drying

Before folding the round pool for the winter, it must be cleaned and dried well. To do this, you will have to follow a few simple steps.

  1. Use a soft sponge and mild detergents to clean the bottom and sides of the pool. Then rinse thoroughly with water.
  2. Dry the pool from the inside and outside. To do this, you can leave it in the sun, use a special gun. Optionally wipe with paper or cotton towels.
  3. Existing accessories must also be rinsed and dried. If there is a filter, the filter elements must be removed from it and stored in a warm and dry place.
  4. Plugs are included with the pool. They must be placed on all holes.

After that, you can remove the awning. But before folding, if the weather permits, you need to hold it in the sun for several hours. This is to prevent mold from forming.

Folding step by step

After the pool is thoroughly washed and dried, you can proceed to the most important part - folding it. Before that, you need to stock up on special or ordinary talcum powder, which will prevent sticking. Then you need to perform a series of sequential actions.

  • Place the tarpaulin on a dry, clean and level surface.
  • A round pool cannot be assembled very evenly - without a single fold. To get it neat, first it is recommended to fold the walls of the pool inward, that is, towards the center.
  • After the circle you need to fold in half, and then again in half. As a result, you should get a triangle.

It is not recommended to fold any longer, as it will be too tight. If you wish, you can additionally cover the triangle with some material or put it in a box of the appropriate size.

Where to store it?

Free space is required for storage. Its area depends, again, on the original size of the pool. In most cases, instructions are attached to them, where the storage conditions, including the temperature regime, are clearly spelled out. If the annotation is missing for some reason, it is recommended to adhere to the rules.

  1. Under no circumstances should the pool be left in the cold. Most of the awnings are made of PVC. This material is not highly frost-resistant, so it can burst even at an air temperature of 3-5 ° C.
  2. Store in a warm and dry place at temperatures between + 5 ° C and + 40 ° C.
  3. Do not allow mechanical impact on the awning. So, any sharp objects, such as nails, can damage the surface.
  4. Also, care should be taken that the awning is not accessible to animals. Rodents, cats and dogs can harm it.

It should be remembered that their further use depends on how the awning and other parts are prepared and removed for storage. A poorly prepared and assembled pool can deteriorate during the winter months.
