Compositions

The most common component for ironing is considered to be pure cement grade 400 or 500. Sometimes sand is added to the composition to reduce consumption. At the same time, it is important that the sandy material is clean, there should be no clay impurities in it.

Wet iron

In this case, to achieve a reliable result, liquid cement is used, due to which the name of the method arose.

• kneading the solution is in a one-to-one ratio; sand and cement are used to create a solution;
• to improve the properties of the mixture, lime dough is added to it in the amount of 10% of the total mass of cement in the solution;
• it is better to apply the prepared solution to the surface of the blind area by scattering the mixture, followed by leveling.

It is important to note that wet ironing can be started only 2 weeks after the blind area has hardened . During this time, the blind area will be able to fully stabilize, and the structure will not crack in the process.

Polymer iron

It is carried out using polymer tiles and polyurethane. The sequence of actions is the same as in the case of dry ironing. Therefore, there are no difficulties in completing the task.

Before laying tiles or applying polyurethane, the surface of the blind area is impregnated with special compounds. The most common brands are:

• "Lithurin";
• Pentra;
• "Spectrin" (Spektrin).
