The condensing dryer is an indispensable helper for every housewife at any time of the year. Such a device will eliminate mold in the apartment and the need for constant ventilation during the drying process, which is especially important in the cold season. Is an excellent solution for small apartments where there is no extra space for installing a classic rope dryer and for large families who need to dry a large amount of clothes, bed linen or towels at the same time.

Principle of operation

The principle of operation of condensing dryers: moisture in such a machine is collected in a special compartment, due to which it compares favorably with other types of dryers . In obsolete ventilation dryers, additional hoses must be installed in order to drain the condensate into the drain. In machines with a heat pump, laundry is dried with warm air. The tumble dryer operates from a regular 220 W socket. Some models have a built-in self-cleaning condenser.

The condensing dryer consists of the following parts:

• electronic display - designed for easy control;
• drive belt - connects the motor to the tank;
• dryer drum - holds laundry for drying;
• heat exchanger - promotes the formation of condensation by adjusting the cold and hot air flows;
• heating element - heats up the air before entering the drum;
• fan - sets the direction of cold air;
• air intake with filter - collects dust, lint and wool;
• electric motor - sets the drum in motion.

The clothes must be wrung out in the washing machine and then sent to the dryer. The air circulates in the condensing machine continuously: collecting moisture, heating or cooling, while additional air intake is not required. The maximum power of one drying cycle is 4 kW. The machine with a condensate reservoir does not require a connection to the sewer, the main thing is not to forget to drain the liquid every time.

After each drying, drain the condensate and allow the condensation tank to dry out.

Selection Tips

The dryer should be 2-3 kg more capacious than the washing machine, because wet laundry is heavy (if the machine is designed for 5 kg of maximum load, then the dryer must be taken with a capacity of 7 kg or more).

Criterias of choice:

• energy efficiency class ("B" is considered normal for drying machines);
• noise level (the 60 dB unit will be the quietest);
• set of required programs (for example, if you have to dry clothes and linen made of cotton and wool, then there is no point in overpaying for the function of delicate drying of silk).

The most compact and efficient are front-loading condensing machines with a built-in moisture collection tank.
