Cut off a portion of the bell so that the pulley can be placed on the V-belts. The length of the pulley per box should be 20 cm. For motors, pulleys with a length of 8 cm are used.

The next step is to shorten the axle shafts and cut the splines. When the bridges are ready, you need to start working with the breaking frame, or rather, prepare the fasteners for the fracture node. This unit itself is made using the front hub of VAZ cars. Next comes the turn of the universal joint and steering installation. Another step is to install the travel wheels.

At the last stage of work, they put the motor, brake system, caliper, pedal assembly, try on a pulley, make a clutch and put a support for the input shaft. Consider an alternative option for preparing a fracture tractor. The developers of this scheme preferred to use channel # 10 for the front steps of the side members. The final step is made of shaped tubular rolled products with an outer section of 8x8 cm. The traverses (front and rear, respectively) are made of 12 and 16 channels. The same is done with the cross members.

The power plant is selected at its discretion. The main thing is that it has the necessary power, fits into the allotted dimensions and can hold on to the provided mounts.

Important: the advantage of the described assembly method is the ability to use any rear axle. It does not matter which car he was originally on. There are no special requirements for the cardan shaft.

After finishing work with these parts, proceed to the installation of the steering wheel, rack and wheel chassis. What wheels the mini-tractor will ride on is not at all indifferent.

Many people equip their equipment with passenger car tires. But at the same time it is necessary to ensure that the wheels on the front axle are no smaller than 14 inches. Very small propellers will bury themselves even in fairly hard ground . There is no need to talk about movement on loose soil. In this case, you should not put too large wheels, because then control will deteriorate.

The way out of the situation can be hydraulic control systems. They are completely (without any alteration) removed from unnecessary agricultural machines. The front axle is assembled using a piece of pipe on which the bearings are fitted. Sometimes it is also taken ready-made. Returning to the wheels, we emphasize that the depth of the pattern left by the tread is very important for them.

In this scheme, the steering can be anything, but for the sake of increased controllability, it is worth using the hydraulic system.

We must not forget about the installation of an oil pump, which must be driven by a motor. It is best if the shaft wheels are driven through a gearbox . The steering system is equipped with a drum brake. A separate rod is used to connect it to the pedal.

It is useful to install a summer cabin with a canopy. But if this operation is left to the discretion of the owners, then covering the motor and other moving parts with a casing is strictly necessary. The protective cover is often folded out of galvanized sheet. If you plan to work a lot, including early in the morning and late in the evening, it is helpful to mount the headlights. But in this case, you will have to reserve a section on the frame for the battery, and carefully connect it itself to the light sources.

Mini tractors are often made from LuAZ. In this case, the transmission and brake units are taken as a basis. All other parts are selected taking into account the convenience of work. The preference for these particular cars is due to the fact that the technology based on them is extremely stable. As always, the width of the wheelbase must be considered.

Safety engineering

Regardless of which mechanism was the main one when assembling a mini-tractor, you need to understand that this is a rather dangerous device. There are no instructions for homemade equipment, and therefore the first safety measure is a careful selection of the design. It is recommended to read the comments to the drawings and to the descriptions, with the reviews of those who have already tried to use them. You need to refuel the mini-tractor only with the fuel for which the engine is designed. A similar rule applies to lubricating oils.

If the unit has a gasoline engine, do not allow oil to get into the fuel. It is also impossible to fill in fuel to the very edge. If it splashes out while driving, serious problems can arise. It is strictly forbidden to use open fire when refueling a mini-tractor, and ideally at any time when people are near it.

It is required to store fuel only in special tightly closing canisters.

If the canister is leaking, it should be discarded. There is no need to create fuel reserves in excess of the required volumes. Places for refueling and starting the engine must be at least 3 m apart. To avoid a fire, do not start the engine in the immediate vicinity of trees, bushes, or on dry grass. If the engine starts poorly or starts with strange noises, it is best to postpone the work and find the problem that has arisen.

Do not drive a mini-tractor on garden tools, collide with walls, branches and stones. Only people who understand it should operate the mechanism. Even if headlights are installed, it is advisable to work mainly during the day.

It is also undesirable to drive at maximum speed if you can work more calmly. In any case, you need to drive more slowly.
