It is not enough to get acquainted with the mechanical characteristics of the profiled sheet. We'll have to study the colors of the corrugated board, first of all, the gray corrugated sheet for the roof and fence, the color of green moss, especially the brown and white painted corrugated board. It is worth paying attention to other colors, as well as to the standards according to which this material is made and decorated.

Colors according to the RAL catalog

The demand for a profile metal sheet in comparison with other building materials is beyond doubt. It differs not only in thickness, type of metal and protective coating . An important practical role is played by the colors of the corrugated board, which determine the possibility of its application in a particular setting. There are also simple black or white materials, but there is no special aesthetic value in them, in comparison with the colored group. Different manufacturers still try to follow clear color scales, and many of them prefer the German RAL scale.

The essence of the system adopted in 1927 is the assignment of a 4-digit index to each color . The system now includes over 1000 tones. It is being actively developed and expanded. As part of the RAL scale, there are definitely all the most popular colors - and even much rarer options can be found. It is the wide development that is the key source of the popularity of the system.

The circuit is divided into 9 main series. Each group includes any standard tones that refer to a specific color. Please note that RAL is divided into several subspecies described in the corresponding catalogs:

  • the classic version (210 shades approved in the 1920s);
  • Design (introduced in 1993, since then 63 additional colors have been added to the original 1625, 7-digit codes are used for designation);
  • Effect - a developed industrial scale (it is rarely used for household products);
  • Digital is a digital system approved in 1995.

Chocolate, aka brown, the color of the profiled sheet according to the RAL system is designated by the index 8017 . In foreign technical literature and brochures, this color is sometimes called Chocolate Brown. Such products are great for combining with brick posts in fences. In addition to visual appeal, chocolate tone models are also distinguished by their excellent practicality. Against such a background, all kinds of blockages are not too noticeable, including dust raised by passing vehicles.

Washing is possible once a month - and even then it usually comes down to pouring from a hose . Such material is also suitable as a roof covering on residential buildings, on outbuildings and auxiliary buildings.

Its demand for covering wooden dwellings is limited. The suitability for facades is very low. The problem is an overly heavy gloomy look.

The painted black corrugated sheet has the RAL designation 9005 . This color is appreciated for its unusualness. Ivory is no less dainty than many of the other options. According to the German system, it was assigned an index of 1014. Scratches and other defects will be visually invisible or barely noticeable, but in conditions of dense urban development, this color is not very practical.

The professional sheet of beige tones is sold under the index 1014; according to other sources - 1001 . This color is recommended for interior ceilings and walls. It must be emphasized that many manufacturers do not differentiate between beige and ivory. Green-beige RAL 1000 is rarely used because it is a “visually dirty” color that creates a contradictory impression. In reality, it is needed for fences and gates, in the industrial segment for wall cladding; you can order such material only strictly individually.

The 1001st color is much more in demand . You can order a similar product for your home without any problems. Often this order is made for fences and even for garages. You can safely combine RAL 1001 with brickwork and plaster. But there are exceptions to any rule; here they turn out to be some cold colors, including the turquoise tone that many like, as well as pink areas of the surface.

The tone of red wine is widely demanded . But in the descriptions of the palette from individual manufacturers, it can be called a dark cherry, therefore one must always focus on the clear and non-confusing index 3005. Such material is in demand among builders of hangars and other industrial premises. Despite the richness of the color, it is not too bright, the effect of the "eye-catching" surface is excluded.

Therefore, it is also recommended to those who are going to arrange an ordinary fence, but cannot make a choice between practicality and originality of appearance.

RAL 3005 will suit all developers and customers, no matter what type of building and what architecture they require . Excellent compatibility with a wide variety of decorative materials is guaranteed. Wine red turns out to be a good option for both roofs and fences. As for products such as gray graphite, they look original and at the same time are unpretentious. But still, in most cases, more beautiful performances are chosen.

For example, sea wave (5021; the official name is "water blue"). These sheets are darker than their turquoise counterparts. Contrast guarantees excellent pairing with:

  • red ceramic bricks;
  • white brickwork;
  • plaster;
  • wood.

The softness of this color looks great on large areas . You can hem the roof, arrange a fence, and cover individual sections of the walls. But the full cladding is used relatively rarely. The popularity of the aqua shade allows you to buy products even in the midst of the repair season.

For aesthetics and romance, the profiled sheet of bog oak color is often praised. The surface of a quality product imitates not only colors, but also texture. Such products are suitable for:

  • fences;
  • arrangement of the facade;
  • finishing of secondary walls;
  • roofing works (usually with a thickness of about 0.5 mm).

A good option can be considered the tone of golden oak . Imitation wood is most appropriate in classic and ecological styles. The height of the profile may differ, but this is almost not reflected in the aesthetic properties. For fans of completely non-standard solutions, it makes sense to pay attention to the matte professional sheet. He can have any color described above and even many other colors, which does not prevent him from looking elegant.

The mint color is RAL 6029 . It immediately brings a feeling of freshness and at the same time does not draw attention to itself. Finally, there are models in ultramarine. This solution is recommended by many designers for decorating roofs. The official designation is RAL 5002.

Other standards

RR

This color standard almost completely dominates the Finnish market. The standard was developed by representatives of Ruukki. There are such basic colors:

  • silver metallic (index 40);
  • silver metallic with a dark sheen (index 41);
  • metallic with graphite tint (category 45).

HPS

Like RAL, this standard implies a four-digit index. In some cases, a letter of the Latin alphabet is added to it. This allows you to accurately mark the shade. Only the most demanded colors are available in the HPS system.

However, this is not always a minus - there is no doubt that such solutions will harmoniously fit into any environment.

PRELA

This is the Swedish designation system for the color of the profiled sheet. It is worth noting that there is no information about her in domestic and in Russian-speaking sources in general. It can be assumed that it is found only on the domestic Swedish market.

NCS

In Scandinavia, the NCS scale has also been developed, which, according to the developers, is easy to use and describes the colors as they are seen. Elementary colors - white, blue and some tones; you can use them to create moss green, dark gray and turquoise shades , moreover, each color, which only can exist, can be given a designation according to the NCS system.

What color range should you choose?

Dark green and dark brown tones are preferred near roads. This decision is caused by frequent heavy clogging. For summer cottages and suburban areas, the use of blue and gray paints in all their variety is recommended. Dark red colors are more and more in demand. Also, the metallic color is constantly gaining popularity; traditionally imitation competes with it:

  • stone;
  • bricks;
  • different types of wood.

The situation is different with the selection of roofing material. Most often, this selection is entrusted to qualified experts. But if you need to choose a roof covering yourself, you need to pay attention to important points:

  • harmony with the colors of other elements of the house, pediments, windows, ventilation pipes must not be disturbed;
  • the architectural style should be emphasized;
  • despite the organic colors, the roof cannot be masked, it should not be lost from sight;
  • if the house is lined with decorative brick or natural stone, a dark red top is needed;
  • the change in color depending on the distance and on the observation conditions (primarily from natural and artificial light) is very significant.

The green color will perfectly fit into the surroundings of natural or garden greenery. Gray and white are best suited for balconies and facades rather than roofs.

Despite the unexpectedness and unusualness of black, it is perfectly combined with light colors. Dachas are often topped with brown leaves.
