Telling all about Kerakam blocks, they mention that this innovative technology was first applied in Europe, but they forget to mention that the Samara Ceramic Materials Plant took only the manufacturing principle from European manufacturers.

The products have been repeatedly improved by the specialists of the enterprise, which has already turned 100 years old, adjusted to be combined with any standard size of bricks . Now it is based on the all-Russian modular system of building materials and is adapted to the conditions of different climatic zones on a huge territory.

What it is?

Kerakam blocks are a popular building material, analogues of which are produced only at 3 factories in the world . But even Europeans, who borrowed this innovative idea, do not produce such products. SKKM manufactures a wide range of products, of which only building blocks make up almost 20 items. Kerakam is a porous ceramic stone product, which includes large, medium and small formats.

It is the vastness of the offered products that distinguishes SKKM from other manufacturers of warm ceramics. Modern equipment is almost completely automated. For more than 15 years, it has been making it possible to produce so many types of products that one can easily build a private or apartment building from them without resorting to building materials from another manufacturer.

You can understand which is better - aerated concrete or Kerakam by analyzing the benefits that builders will receive using the products of a well-known brand:

  • compliance with the all-Russian modular system and any standard sizes of bricks;
  • the ability to create walls in one layer, without additional costs for the purchase and installation of insulation;
  • optimal strength indicators and low coefficient of thermal conductivity for each product;
  • a 100% chance to provide a permanently comfortable microclimate inside the building.

These and other bonuses are provided by a specific manufacturing technology and natural composition (clay with sawdust that burns out at a very high temperature). The products are equipped with corrugations for trouble-free application of plaster and side grooves for strong joining of structural elements to each other.

In a primitive representation, Kerakam are ceramic modules with cavities inside, usually rectangular in shape. In general description, it is a modern material that has a huge number of advantages over other products of the building range.

Main characteristics

There is no universal answer to this question, since the plant in Samara has a wide range of products, and some species have their own distinctive features. However, there are general criteria that prove the advantages and progressiveness of clay modules made using innovative technologies:

  • low thermal conductivity , thanks to which it is possible to build single-layer structures, due to the presence of voids and special porosity;
  • high strength characteristics (withstanding loads up to 150 kg / cm3, not inferior to those of natural stone);
  • creation of a uniform coefficient of linear expansion on the building , which makes it possible to exclude the formation of cracks on both the outer and inner surfaces;
  • capillary structure acquired after firing , thanks to which the wall breathes, ensures optimal gas exchange and remains dry at any time of the year;
  • the material can be easily combined with ordinary brickwork , surface features guarantee a high degree of adhesiveness with any plastering composition, while ensuring low, profitable material consumption;
  • the need for major repairs does not arise soon, since modules calmly withstand 50 frost penetration .

Every builder will quickly become convinced of the significant time savings when using clay modules . Low weight and significant size compared to conventional bricks provide an additional 2-3 hours in daily work. The time saving comes not only due to the size, but also due to the presence of side slots for quick coupling.

The external embossed surface increases the adhesiveness and saves the consumption of finishing materials. But in some cases, they will not be required due to the high strength and optimal thermal conductivity of a natural, environmentally friendly building material.

Assortment overview

The ceramic block is distinguished by several features - smoothness and texture, with and without coloring pigments, the volume of voids in their geometry, for ordinary styling or facial.

Among the demanded product samples, the following are invariably mentioned:

Kerakam 38 , with excellent test compression criteria for load-bearing exterior and interior walls;

Kerakam 38T warmer, but loses to the first representative of the line in terms of strength (it is enough to build 5 floors);

unique Kerakam 38ST withstands monolithic high-rise buildings when used as a filler for frames;

Kerakam 12 useful for the construction of internal walls, but not load-bearing;

Kerakam X1 / X2 - single and double blocks, which are distinguished by increased strength and heat transfer, which is several times lower than that of the highest quality bricks.

The manufacturer uses specific informative markings - for example, to determine how many times one brick will fit into the surface of a porous block (this is necessary to calculate the amount of building material). The NF indicator is applied.

If the accompanying instruction indicates 10 NF, this means that it will fit exactly as many standard bricks. Finding the right size that meets the customer's requirements will not be a problem.

Applications

There is not an ounce of exaggeration in the statement that it is possible to build a house of any number of storeys and with variable useful properties from the products of a well-known brand of building materials .… This, indeed, is the case, the products are used in the construction of a private house for housing, a country mansion, a residential building at a summer cottage, in urban and rural areas, in different climatic zones. Innovative manufacturing technology, quality control and compliance with standards favorably distinguish the products of the famous Russian brand of building materials.
