If the spruce is placed in a bucket of sand, then do not forget to periodically moisten the sand. When wet, it will better hold the tree trunk. Make sure that the sand does not dry out, otherwise the tree may fall.
Water preparation
- There are special requirements for the water that is poured over the spruce standing in the house. It is important that the tree stands in the apartment as long as possible, its needles remain intact, and the fir scent does not stop during the New Year holidays. Use helpful tips to extend the life of your tree.
- Spray tree branches with a spray bottle twice a day, as the water in the container may not be enough to keep the needles fresh.
- If the tree is in a bucket of sand or soil, then for the first few days, water it with water in which an aspirin tablet is diluted. Add a little salt and a tablespoon of granulated sugar here. Glycerin in the amount of a teaspoon or garden dressing will be useful.

In this case, aspirin, sugar and salt are also added to the water. This measure will avoid blooming water. You can replace this composition with citric acid (½ tsp), gelatin (1 tbsp) and crushed chalk.
